This Saturday August 2nd, in Prescott in front the Lighthouse lawn, I'll be setting up my tent to offer art along with fellow guild members of the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art. The occasion marks a first for the St. Lawrence Shakespeare in the Park annual summer event. This year the famous Globe Theatre players from London (yes England!) will be performing Hamlet to a sold out crowd.
The weather looks favourable with temperatures forecast in the 26 deg C and sunny! Those of you who bought tickets already can come early and visit our booths and perhaps make a purchase or two? Pictured above are some miniature canvases for the occasion with the Hamlet theme. Hope to see you there!
For others who may be out and about why not make a day of it and visit Fort Wellington in the morning? Stop for lunch at O'Heaphy's or Bobby's Restaurant where they offer gluten free items on the menu. Then after lunch stop for ice cream at the Lighthouse and come soak up Prescott's beautiful waterfront along King Street. You'll find us there! Several booths will be set up with a variety of art on display and for sale! Alternately you might enjoy viewing my small collection of miniature gardens to inspire you. To make it easier, I'm also offering accessories so that you too can design your own Fairy Gardens! I'll be selling garden dishes, wheel barrels, lanterns, tiny buckets, gardening implements such as hoes, shovels, and rakes. I even have gazebo kits that are easy to assemble using 5 minute epoxy or a glue gun. These can be left as is or spray painted black for a realistic wrought iron look.
There will also be rustic picket fencing sections for creating ghoulish scenes just in time for Halloween, or choose the longer ones and shape into a lovely arbour like these pictured below.
