It can be challenging to make time to paint when there are dishes to be done, beds to make etc..... In addition to making time to paint at home which is often a struggle, as insurance, I commit myself to life drawing sessions once a month on a Sunday with my Burritts Rapids "Go Figure" group. I also attend a one day a week art group in the small town of Prescott at an adult recreation centre call Walker House. It gets me away from household distractions and provides much needed "girly time". At my recent Wednesday "Art Day" as I call it, I covered a lot of canvas, literally. My umbrella girl is starting to take shape. The sky and street are filled in which gives it a more completed yet to me it has a cartoon look. Now I can focus on the finer details of shadow and highlight to really make it pop.
