A while back I spent a creative week assembling and making items that would help inspire a "south of the equator" feel to a fund raising dinner that preceded a percussion concert. Decorating was a group effort and a complete success. My part began with the need for a drum. An old wicker plant pot cover turned hamper was taking up space in the basement. It was the perfect shape and height. All I needed was the leather cover and some rope to tie things down.
This was a very quick project that made a big visual impact for the amount of fairly easy work involved. My next challenge will be a rain stick made out of a fishing rod canister. Stay tuned!
